'Aisha bint Abu Bakr (RA)

621 CE

Makki

The third wife of the Prophet (PBUH) and the daughter of Abu Bakr, she was one of the great people of Islamic jurisprudence and memorisers of hadith among the Companions. Many of the disciples would rely upon her juristic understanding when dealing with cases after the death of the Prophet (PBUH). She is also one of the six most prolific narrators of prophetic traditions, the Hadith.
She spent nearly nine years at the Prophet's (PBUH) side and was the wife he loved the most after Khadijah. Indeed the Prophet (PBUH) passed away in her arms and was buried in her apartment.
